Vaccinations and Medicine
Morocco is a country where your health is not in danger when you travel. Morocco does not require any type of vaccine. Take Precautions against sunburn and insect bites. In every city there are doctors who speak French, English, and other languages.
Food and Drink
Be sure to tell us if you have any dietary restrictions. Other than that, you can simply relax and enjoy the culinary pleasures of the desert while you are with us. Before you join us and after you leave, we do recommend trying Morocco’s street food to enhance your cultural experience, but please be aware that there is risk in purchasing food from street vendors as it may not always be cooked in the sanitary conditions your stomach is accustomed to. Avoid water from rivers and street vendors. Tap water should be fine, but many prefer to stick to bottled water just to be safe.
Recommended Equipment and Clothing
We recommend you bring light cotton clothing, something warm for the cold desert nights, comfortable shoes, a hat, sunglasses, and a bathing suit. Many hotels in Morocco have heated pools and you never know when you will want to take a swim. Bathing suits are also very useful if you intend to visit a hammam while you are in Morocco. Also, don’t forget your camera. You never know what you’ll see in the Sahara!
